$1.25 Botanical Print and DIY Sign

I found this old botanical rose print some time ago at a yard sale for .25 but it needed a frame. A few months later I found a brown wood frame just the right size at another yard sale for a $1.00. After several coats of different colors of green paint, some distressing and a glaze I was satisfied with the color. After I hung it on the wall it seemed too small for the space. I found an old distressed board and stenciled PARIS on it and hung it below it. I already had the stencil and paint so it was FREE.

The chair that sits below the picture is one I found several years ago, I love the detail on it , but I never found the perfect fabric to cover it in [this fabric is just folded under temporarily and not stapled on ]. Pumpkin loves to nap on it anyway, but  I'm thinking about giving it a makeover and painting it a color. Any suggestions?

After Christmas Steals

I stopped in Hobby Lobby the other day looking for some fabric and found these fabulous Christmas stocking hangers on clearance at 90% off! They retail for $24.99 each, but I was able to snag them for only $2.50 each! I love the style of all three but am not crazy about the gold finish on the two end ones. I sense a new finish coming on!  By the way, I also found some fabulous fabric which I will photograph and upload in a later post.

Shabby Chic Topiaries

I had found these topiaries with some Christmas decorations at an estate sale a few months ago for a $1 each.  I liked the topiaries but not their gold color so I painted them white and added a brown glaze.  I think they fit into my shabby chic decor much better now. What do you think?
